 FAQs

  • Before your first appointment, we will send a secure link containing information about my practice policies and a brief questionnaire about yourself. During the initial visit, we'll explore what brings you into therapy, your present concerns and challenges and what you hope to gain from therapy. Therapy is not one-size-fits all, so we’ll spend time developing personalized treatment goals for your needs.

  • Appointments must be cancelled with a minimum of 24 hours notice. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full session fee.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

We are an out-of-network provider for the other insurance companies, meaning that we do not take those insurance as part of our practice. We can provide superbills for your records upon request. Superbills are detailed invoices that outline the services you received that you can submit directly to your insurance to request reimbursement. Whether your insurance provider will reimburse you for an out-of-network provider depends on your plan and you are advised to contact your insurance provider directly for details about reimbursement for services.
